A teething baby is never fun. No one wants to see anyone in pain, but on the flip side no one wants to dose up on ibuprofen or acetaminophen for weeks or even months on end, if even at all. Here are some of my favorite natural teething reliefs for babies and toddlers.
What Can You Use For Natural Teething Relief For Babies and Toddlers?
1. Natural Teething Gel – Camilla
This has been a lifesaver for me this time around for teething. Using a natural teething gel which ingredients include chamomile which help sooth the swollen gums as well as crying baby making it a good natural and effective teething remedies for babies and toddlers.
2. Teething Amber Necklace
Amber necklace helped a great deal with soothing our daughter during teething. Especially as she began to get molars coming in. Natural raw amber carries anti-inflammatories which help with swollen and sore gums which gives natural relief for teething babies and toddlers.
Teething kids are always putting everything in their mouths right? Toys seem like an obvious answer. However I never have good luck with most teething toys because they always make them long and skinny and my kids always gag on them! I thought I would share a few favorites of mine that don’t gag the babies. Frozen Toys always seem to be a hit especially for pain relief. This one you can add breastmilk, water, or fruits and berries.
This may not be a teething specific remedy, but it is definitely a teething “must-have” in my opinion! My kids were both those up all night teethers and not the ones who just slept through it. I definitely hope that’s not the case for you, but if it is, get yourself some right now.
5. Teething Highland’s Oral Pain Relief
I will be honest I have not tried this for teething yet… but I know people who have and swear by it, I did however use it for my son when he was first born and had a tongue/lip tie reversal and that worked very well to soothe him. If you are familiar with the procedure you have to stretch out the sights every few hours for a month, leaving things very sore. So I feel like it will be very effective.
6. Natural Relief is Often Found in Baths
Sometimes babies get fevers during teething, I find that cool baths help the fever. But also without a fever (depending if the child likes baths or not) this is a good form of relaxation for the baby while the baby is bothered by teething.
I hope these natural teething relief for babies and toddlers help you and your teething baby get some relief and for mama to get some relief as well. Living through sleepless nights are rough, but not as rough as seeing our babies in pain.
